Lima is a fascinating city, the only capital in South America facing the ocean, is also a multicultural city and a capital of Gastronomy in Peru. Since Pre Colombine era it was an important center of Spiritualism and Commerce, but is for sure in the Colonial time, when Lima started to become even more important and gain that reputation as a City of Kings. It is the different groups of people who arrived, who with a little of their culture started to change our customes, it is that mix of their tecniques in cooking and our products that our food and culture started to become proper Peruvian. The idea of a tour like this, is to visit the City of Kings, but also have a perspective into what gastronomy is in Peru. We head straight to, Lima the City of Kings, Start at the Plaza San Martin, walk and explore Lima along famour, Jiron de la Union boulevard with its old houses and balconies, Take a look and make your photos of the Main Plaza, Cathedral, and Government building. Here is where we will introduce you to Peruvian cuisine, take a break to have some classic Peruvian Tapas, have an introduction to Pisco Sour in a demostrative and tasting class. Walking distance, we will head to San Francisco Monastery and Catacombs for a tour. Finally we jump back on our car to get back to your hotel.
